Pick Your Poison:

To me, happiness is:

(Bare with me: I will be using the word happy/happiness a million times in this post.)

Happiness is a choice, a lifestyle. Choosing to be happy in the world we live in is a very powerful thing. Some of the happiest and joyous people I know have every reason to be very unhappy and negative; but they don't let anything put them in the mud. Being happy is all up to you. Either you can let the burdens and disappointments of everyday life bring you down and consume you, or you can rise above them. The definition of happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive emotions and contentment of joy. That word contentment is a powerful word isn't it? Think to yourself, what does contentment mean to you? Reply with what you think it means.

Yes, happiness can be a result of many things, or you can look at like this;
If you choose to be happy FIRST and foremost, many things will result from happiness.
By this I mean, positive people attract positive people; happiness and faith in religion result in blessings; happiness promotes lack of defeat etc. The "negative Nancy's" of the world aren't normally surrounded by the "positive Patricia's" in other words. Among millions of other benefits to choosing to be happy, most people who feel good in the inside also look good as well. Think about it; when you go to the gym or run, you're releasing endorphins when you sweat. Endorphins release a chemical that actually makes you feel happy. And once you find out how to be truly happy, you will not let anyone or anything take that from you. You will rid the negatives and the let downs.

Living happy and living a happy lifestyle are different things. It's up to you to decide and figure out which one you'd prefer. Is being happy something you want to feel or want to be?

Think about it and comment your thoughts, Darlings!
Xoxo
